I am Frank, I’m a man in my early thirties that has been permanently disabled by a 5-day course of an antibiotic — ciprofloxacin — following a routine surgery on my nose. You can find my story here.
This is supposed to be a blog on chronic pain, fluoroquinolone-associated disability and political economy of science.
I aim to write both evidence-based articles, as well as personal opinions in the form of essays on these topics. Where appropriate, in the articles the information will be backed by references. In the essays, you might see more free-form polemics, and much less citations — in order to facilitate the flow of thought.
